Pulaski, New York

It has been a VERY long time since I have posted anything in writing on the blog! So this if for the few of you who are still reading this. If it’s any fewer than who originally were, my guess is there’s only one or two now! I am actually using my computer! What a change!

My trip did not end with a bang, just a dip in the Chesapeake bay and a “see ya later” to Jim. Ellyn picked my up in Yorktown with my bags to conquer the civilized world. More than two changes of clothes, real shoes, a real shaving kit and a real computer! What luxuries. When I got in the car, 40 mph scared the crap out of me! But since then I’ve been at a steady 80 mph.

In Yorktown Jim and Sarah treated Ellyn and I to an amazing fish dinner and afterward they went on their way. The next day, Ellyn and I went to Williamsburg, Jamestown and then Virginia beach for the night. The pictures are below on the blog, they were typical touristy places. The day after Virginia beach, we went up to DC, where we only spent about 4 hours. Half in the car and half on the bikes because the traffic was TERRIBLE and we were both frustrated and wanted to get out of the city. That being the case, we drove strait through to Hammond, New York where my family is. We arrived at our camp at about 1 AM. We spent 3 days visiting my family and my father’s old friends in Hammond and today drove 2 hours south to visit the rest of my family in Pulaski. Tonight and tomorrow we are staying with my grandma and tomorrow night we will go to Rochester to see good ole Jimmy. We expect to be home on thursday evening.

Overall, the trip was 68 days and 4,455 miles. What an adventure! I plan to keep posting on this trip but the posts will probably stop when I get back to Ohio. If you have and questions, or want to contact me FEEL FREE. If you’re an out of state person, our of country person or just a down right nice person, FEEL FREE. I want to keep in contact with people from my travels as much as possible.
